This spot in Chinatown is home to the "Firecracker" party every odd Friday of the month which is when we hit this place up. A jazz lounge downstairs with a live band and small lit dancefloor, a mix of old timers and new timers, dj upstairs with hiphoppers plus, no extraneous decor, an overall chill unpretentious vibe. Great place to get your groove on, or sit back and chill downstairs (sit in the couches, oooh). Dj selection of music was good (funk, soul, hip hop & r&b classics) though the transitions could use improvement, but no complaints. All the bartenders measure a shot per drink. I thought maybe they were all new at first, but hey, you know you're getting at least one shot, and sometimes plus. I don't think I've ever seen an old chinese lady play in a jazz band. nice.
